Codegate Support RCN Congress for the second year running.
Updated: Apr 22
Codegate were delighted to have been invited back for a second year to support the Royal College of Nursing with their 2018 Congress.
This year, the event was held at the award winning Belfast Waterfront Conference centre, right in the heart of Belfast with fantastic views over the River Lagan.
RCN Congress is the most important event of its type in the nursing calendar. It is where nursing staff meet to learn, develop and share nursing practice and to influence UK-wide nursing and health care policy.
With thousands of delegates and a large exhibition, RCN once again turned to Codegate’s Expo solution to assist with data capture throughout the event.
Delegate badges incorporate a small RFID tag enabling them to be automatically scanned throughout the venue to enable organisers to track overall and session-specific attendance. This gives them an invaluable insight into delegate patterns and behaviours and is crucial in helping improve the event year-on-year. Information is updated in real time without the need to stop delegates to scan them, meaning that visitor flow is not affected.
Codegate’s Expo solution also provides a mobile application for exhibitors enabling them to scan a small barcode on the delegate badge to capture lead information. The application allows exhibitors to set up ‘interests’ so that they don’t have to type in lots of details when busy capturing leads at the event whilst also sending delegates an automatic email thanking them for their interest. The application runs on any Android or IOS phone or tablet.
A dedicated web portal for exhibitors allows them to check their leads in real time, view a graphical dashboard and download leads into a spreadsheet. With thousands of leads captured during the 3 day exhibition, exhibitors were thrilled by the simplicity of the app and to be able to see so much information in real time.
John Bryant, RCN Corporate Communications and Publishing Manager, said “The data that Expo provides enables us to plan accurately for the next event, helping us to improve the visitor experience and reduce expenditure.”
RCN Congress returns next year at the ACC in Liverpool.
