Keep a closer eye on your laundry assets

Laundry trolleys are valuable assets, yet like the ubiquitous shopping trolley they have a habit of going missing. Good asset management can avoid the recurring costs of replacement trolleys, especially where laundry services are contracted off site. In terms of savings on replacement trolleys alone this system can pay for itself within 12 months.

The system comprises of 3 parts:

• Hand held terminal (HHT) to scan User and Trolley barcodes.
• Wall mounted cabinet PC to retrieve and store data from hand Held Terminals, and also to allow cabinet access.
• Online Web Portal where Trolley and User usage and History can be viewed.

Each Trolley and system user is uniquely identified with a bar coded label. When Trolleys enter or leaves a site they are scanned as either "Clean laundry" or "Dirty Laundry" as appropriate. Once the HHT is docked data is transferred automatically to a central external database.

Simple to use...

The HHTs are stored and charged in wall mounted custom locked cabinets. Access is gained by pin code entry using the touch screen in the cabinet door. The screen also shows HHT availability at a glance, without needing to open the cabinet.

Each HHT has a simple application, whereby the user simply scans an ID badge and scans a trolley bar code and status. It will store any number of transactions until it is returned to the cradle, where data is automatically downloaded.

Whilst docked the HHT can receive automatic updates without user intervention. All system control can be undertaken remotely via the web portal.

Administrators and managers can view all data transactions and reports via the web portal. Stored data can be easily exported to other business systems.
