Codegate Acquires i2 Mobile Solutions
Mobile data solutions specialist Codegate today announced that it has acquired i2 Mobile Solutions Ltd (i2MS). The move increases Codegate’s turnover to over £5million, making it one of the largest mobile solution providers in the UK. i2MS will be rebranded as Codegate and integrated into its Steventon, Oxfordshire premises with immediate effect. Commenting on the announcement, Terran Churcher, Codegate’s Managing Director said “We are delighted with the acquisition of i2MS. The move will enable Codegate to extend its mobile solution offering into the warehouse and retail space, leveraging i2MS’s existing mobile and data capture successes with companies like River Island, Wyevale Garden Centres, Majestic Wine Warehouse, Halfords and Cannon Group.” i2MS is extremely complimentary to Codegate, a leader in the provision of mobile field force automation applications for field service and transport and logistics. The consolidated business will provide one of the most comprehensive ranges of mobile solutions available today. These solutions will seamlessly integrate with existing systems in the warehouse, across the retail supply chain, into the field and in-store, enabling Codegate’s customers to have a single source supplier for all of their mobile data applications. In addition to a now even greater software development team, the acquisition enables Codegate to expand and strengthen its range of rugged hardware with both Motorola and Psion Teklogix, in addition to its existing strong relationships with Intermec, Hand Held Products and Zebra. |
