Codegate safeguards mobile deployments
Mobile data collection specialist Codegate has developed mobilesafeguardTM, an intelligent device management tool that enables IT Managers to deploy, update and manage even the largest mobile solution. Accessed through a dedicated web portal, the service is available 24/7 from any location - in the office, at home or in the field.
The new solution is based upon the mobilesafeguard Client - a background programme that runs on a mobile device. This periodically transmits status information to the central mobilesafeguard Database. The operation is completely automated and invisible to the user. Data for each mobile device is built up over its operational life and the database information can be accessed at any time via the mobilesafeguard web portal.
Key elements of this solution include a Device Lock Down Utility (which prohibits unauthorised access); Asset Management; Device Statistics; Active Monitor; Application Manager; Vehicle Tracking & Telematics; Simple Messaging and Remote Application Deployment and Troubleshooting.
