Pocket LabelTrace now available

The UK’s leading labelling system for specimen requesting in general practices and hospitals can now be deployed on selected mobile devices using the Windows Mobile platform.

Pocket LabelTrace now gives health professionals access the ability to print request labels at the hospital bedside (Bedside Requesting edition) or on the move in the community (Community Task edition).

The mobile computer on which Pocket LabelTrace runs can be used for multiple healthcare applications, thereby improving hardware viability. Demographic data is stored on the device when the unit is synchronised to a workstation running the patient administration system.

A battery operated mobile printer is used to print the request labels over Bluetooth. They are in exactly the same format as those produced by LabelTrace PC version, and so are completely acceptable to receiving labs.

Pocket LabelTrace is compatible with all pocket clinical systems supported by Inchware.

Pocket LabelTrace can also be used to print patient wristbands at the bedside, using a different mobile printer which supports wristband media.
