Mobile data capture specialist Codegate has developed mobileworkerTM - specialist software that enables hand held computers to be used for collecting, analysing and manipulating critical business data in the field. It can be used to improve service levels, increase efficiency and significantly reduce costs – by reducing paperwork and simplifying a range of control operations and processes.
The mobileworker software incorporates a wide variety of features, including a job dispatch system; tracking and recording of events, tracking of stock/parts; new quotes and jobs; vehicle distance and fuel tracking; satellite navigation; text messaging; and service level management. Information is entered into the mobile computer by the field agent, and this is passed electronically to the company’s computer system – eliminating the need for administrative staff to re-enter the data.
Codegate’s mobileworker can be used on a range of hand held data capture devices, including units such as the world-renowned Dolphin® family of mobile computers from Hand Held Products. Two of the company’s latest models are the Dolphin® 7900 and the Dolphin® 9500. These two devices are both feature-rich and packed with technology, and offer industry-leading levels of performance.
In conjunction with wireless communications, mobileworker offers real-time workforce job dispatch and status reporting; seamless connectivity between field engineers and office staff; full visibility of assets, materials and resources; monitoring of customer Service Level Agreements; and clear analysis and decision support.
